Dressta North America met with a number of distributors March 7 to collaborate on the development of Dressta’s new parts operation and to obtain input for Dressta’s Internet-based online order and inquiry system.

This was the second meeting of its kind in four months and was conducted at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Bolingbrook.

The purpose of these meetings was to gain distributor insight on customer support processes being developed for the new parts operation.

“Making distributors part of the planning process will make for a closer bond between distributor and manufacturer,” Rich Jilek, vice president of Dressta Parts Operation, said. “It will also provide for ’out of the box thinking’ to provide our customers with high levels of parts support.”

Dressta North America secured a 66,000 sq. ft. facility in Bolingbrook, Ill., November 2006, and within three months, the building was fully functional. The company officially opened the new parts operation Feb. 5, which featured bar coding, order acknowledgement, same day order tracking and the new Internet-based distributor inquiry and order system.

“It’s great to see this cooperation and collaboration between distributor and manufacturer, to have good old fashion, face to face open discussions,” said Tom McGonigle, president of Dressta North America. “Building strong relationships is what we are doing from the very start. ’Fellowship’ is what we used to call it and its time has come again.”

Dressta North America, a fully owned subsidiary of Dressta Company Ltd., is headquartered in Buffalo Grove, Ill., and markets the Dressta crawler dozer, wheel loader and crawler loader lines of construction equipment.
