Driskell Joins Roland Machinery as Aggregate Specialist

Roland Machinery Company has hired Ed Driskell an aggregate specialist. In his new position, Driskell is responsible for managing the aggregate sales efforts for Roland Machinery in northern Illinois.

“We are very pleased that Ed has accepted this new position,” said Matt Roland, vice president of sales Roland Machinery. “He has very impressive credentials and over thirty years of experience in the aggregate industry. Our customers will benefit tremendously from his expertise.”

In his new position at Roland, Driskell will be an integral part of aggregate equipment sales and installation. He will be training the salesforce on applications for aggregate equipment, providing technical assistance to both customers and Roland personnel and demonstrating aggregate equipment capabilities.

Driskell has worked in many areas in the aggregate industry. He began his career in plant management for various types of operations, including limestone, sand, gravel and cement.

After twenty years of hands-on experience, he became an aggregate specialist, which involves specifying, designing, and advising for the installation of processing equipment for the stone, gravel and recycling industries.

A native of Villa Park, Driskell earned his Associate Degree in aircraft maintenance from Lewis College in Lockport, Ill. He also has received certificates in surface blasting and explosive safety, welder qualification for high pressure gas pipe, and high voltage electric motor maintenance and control circuits. He has completed sales and application schools for sand processing equipment, crushing, conveying and screening equipment, Thor Telescopic Stacking Conveyors, Hazemag Impact crushers, and Kolberg/Pioneer equipment.

Roland Machinery Co. has been selling and servicing heavy machinery since 1958. As the dealer for Komatsu in the Midwest, the company has fifteen locations throughout the area, in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin.
