Dynaweld Stacks the Deck for Stability on XHBT Series

Wed October 25, 2000 - Northeast Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

Adding a double drop deck to the Dynaweld hydraulic beavertail semi trailer creates an excellent carrier for forklifts, lift trucks, aerial platforms, telehandlers, scissor lifts — any equipment that’s unwieldy, top heavy, high density or hard to load.

This option on the company’s XHBT series trailers delivers a significantly lower center of gravity for the load, and better clearance for taller equipment, along with a 15-degree approach to the main deck. They’re ideal trailers for material handlers, and for rental firms who serve them.

With 35- to 50-ton (31.5 to 45 t) capacities, XHBTs also are very stable under high density materials and machinery loads. Lightweight T-1 steel main-beam construction prevents frame deflection from concentrated heavy cargo (a problem for the heavy perimeter-beam designs). A deck-to-deck 30-degree rise allows upper deck loading without expensive main deck hydraulics. Outboard mounted stake pockets and rubrails are part of a versatile continuous tiedown system.

All Dynaweld semis are Ziebart undercoated. Paintable steel is shot-blasted, alkaline cleaned, primed and finish coated with name brand acrylic enamel. All have full 2 in. (5.1 cm) (not nominal) solid oak decking, waterproof modular wiring and a lockable toolbox.
