For more than half a century, Eager Beaver Trailers has been manufacturing construction equipment trailers. The building boom after World War II helped grow the fledgling enterprise when contractors needed to move their heavy equipment from construction site to construction site.
Now, with more than 300 dealerships located in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America, Eager Beaver Trailers has its manufacturing plant in Lake Wales, FL, and parts distribution warehouse in Southern New Jersey.
When the Eager Beaver Trailers manufacturing facility in Florida sustained hurricane damage in 2004, a decision was made to move the sales operation to the Mickleton, NJ, parts distribution location.
“To accommodate the trailer sales team, the Eager Beaver operation was moved three-quarters of a mile down the road to a much larger facility increasing its size from a mere 1,200 sq. ft. to a spacious 10,000 sq. ft.,” said John DeGeorge, national sales manager.
“We always handled parts in New Jersey, but after the hurricane in Florida, sales was moved here to our expanded facility. In addition to sales and parts departments, we also have room for training our sales staff as well as dealers on the latest innovations on Eager Beaver trailers,” he said.
Located at 548 Swedesboro Ave., this new Eager Beaver Trailers office is a multi-purpose facility with experienced and trained personnel, which includes Jon Hibbard, who has 30-years with the company, in both manufacturing and parts.
