Power management company Eaton and The Marsden Group, a global technology company specialized in developing advanced analytics in support of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, will present a demonstration highlighting the applications of augmented reality technology in hydraulic equipment at the International Fluid Power Expo (IFPE), being held March 7-11, 2017, in Las Vegas.

Visitors to the Eaton booth, S80230, will be able to view and learn more about Eaton's CMA Advanced Mobile Valve in 3-D via a Microsoft HoloLens experience. The demonstration will include an overview of the valve, highlighting the product configuration, unique features and control capabilities; and application examples outlining capabilities specific to each platform.

“In addition to the CMA valve overview, we will highlight the possibilities that augmented reality technology enables in network- or IoT-connected electrohydraulic devices,” said Paul Brenner, global marketing manager, Eaton's Hydraulics Group. “Instead of manually checking equipment or sorting through data, we believe the future of hydraulic monitoring will include a combination of telematics and advanced visualization technologies like augmented reality, which will help simplify condition monitoring and identifying service needs.”
