A crowd gathers to see Rockster’s impactors, screeners and stackers in operation. Rockster’s R700S, R1000S and R1100DS were simultaneously crushing material. The RST18 and RST 23 stackers were both operating and creating stockpiles. The event provided current and potential customers opportunities to see Equip Sales & Leasing’s latest models of aggregate equipment and featured the company’s full line of Rockster crushers, screeners and stackers. Rockster has easy access side and rear doors on its impactors with up and over systems. The screenbox and conveyors raise and lower via hydraulics. RD Olson Manufacturing, located in Kelso, Wash., makes a wide variety of aggregate machines in the United States. The RDO 512 screener, manufactured by RD Olson Manufacturing, also was on display at the demo.

Equip Sales & Leasing hosted a demo event Sept. 30 in Hamden, Conn.

The event provided current and potential customers opportunities to see Equip Sales & Leasing's latest models of aggregate equipment and featured the company's full line of Rockster crushers, screeners and stackers, along with several RD Olson Manufacturing screening plants.

Rockster North America opened in 2016, headquartered in New Jersey. Originally founded in Austria, Rockster specializes in the development and manufacturing of mobile crushing and screening plants, which assists in the processing of natural stone, recycling asphalt and construction waste. With innovations, such as the DUPLEX system, the double function return belt, and the hybrid crusher, the company continues to demonstrate its progressive approach.

“The success of our company depends on the success of our customers,” said Wolfgang Kormann, CEO of Rockster Recycler and Rockster North America. “Their success is ensured by maximum reliability due to top product quality, maximum performance due to innovative design concepts, economical operations due to technical advances, prompt service and competent consultation and long-term cooperation.”

“We have been working together with Rockster since 2009 and have already sold many Rockster units here in the United States, and with a sale in Bermuda as well,” said Joe Collazo, sales manager of Equip Sales & Leasing. “Our clients come from different areas, with a demo like that we wanted to give contractors an opportunity to find ways to spend what funds they have as effectively as possible. Vendors should be prepared to identify money-saving aspects for their products and services. This was the perfect demo for construction companies, landscapers, concrete companies and aggregate recycling and road building companies.”

Looking to enhance the presence in the States, Rockster shipped eight different units to the demo show:

• Impactor R700S

• Impactor R1000S

• Impactor R1100DS

• Finishing Screen RDS410

• Scalping Screen RSS410

• Scalping Screen RSS514

• Stacker RST18

• Stacker RST23

All impactors at the demo featured Rockster's closed-circuit system with the removable screen box and the double functional return/stockpile conveyor. These accessories allow producers to crush material in one pass and gain a consistent high quality grain without further crushing or screening.

With the finishing and scalping screens, Rockster can provide a wider range of recycling possibilities or processing options. By using a Rockster crusher in combination with a stacker, customers can increase their productivity through much larger stacking capacity.

“We wanted to present a big part of our portfolio, so U.S. customers can get in touch with our products,” said Kormann. “In my opinion, demonstrations and references are the most useful ways to promote products like ours because the customer can really interact with the machine and get to know all features and different applications. The exchange of experience from the different customers is one way more to get trust in our products.”

The first-ever live demonstration of the new Rockster impact crusher R1000S in the United States was a complete success. This self-monitoring plant is especially designed to increase operating and safety comfort and includes a wide diversity of refinements, such as an easy gap adjustment for a simpler grain size adaptation, an integrated measuring system for full machine control and analysis, as well as a two-deck pre-screener for a further grain fraction plus increase of the machine efficiency.

The R1000S has an inlet opening of 40 by 29 in., which not only allows for the infeed of large material, but also offers a high output capacity for varying sized material at rates about 300 tons per hour.

Basic features on the R1000S include an adjustable bypass chute, vibration feeder with two-deck prescreen, vertically adjustable magnetic separator, remote control with color-display, electronic controller with color-display, sound-proofing, a dust suppression system and crusher overload protection.

The impactor comes outfitted with the optional RS100 screen box and the RB92 double-function return/stockpile belt — this whole system weighs approximately 77,000 lbs., has a length of 46 ft., a width of 9.3 ft. and a height of 10.5 ft.

“I was already very excited to see the new crusher live in action and all of my expectations were exceeded,” said Daniel Civinski, Rockster representative of the United States. “I like the modern design with the diagonal lines and all the new features with so many extraordinary details.”

According to Kormann, the development of the R1000S was an important step to show Rockster's ambitions for innovations.

“By listening to the customers' requests for more machine control, as well as higher operating comfort and safety, Rockster has designed a crusher that combines state-of-the-art technology with long-proven Rockster standards like the hydraulic system. We are sure that this was the right step and are proud that we could finally demonstrate our new plant to American customers.”

RD Olson Manufacturing is headquartered in Kelso, Wash., with more than 102,000 sq. ft. of facilities spreading across 12 acres. Manufacturing all of its products in the United States, RD Olson makes wash plants, conveyors, crushing equipment, belt feeders, rock wood separators and screening plants.

“RD Olson Manufacturing is the ideal complement to the portable machines that Rockster creates, because it allows us to penetrate all spectrums of the aggregate market,” said Collazo.
