(L-R): Ross McMillan Jr., Matt McGaffee and Mike Finley have joined forces to form Iron Auction Group.

Matt McGaffee, managing partner, announced the opening of the Iron Auction Group (IAG), a new company committed to the resale of construction, mining and agricultural equipment as well as commercial trucks and trailers. Like his partners, Ross McMillan Jr. and Mike Finley, McGaffee is a respected and seasoned industry veteran committed to exceeding the expectations of those interested in the auction and sale of heavy equipment.

"There is a glaring need for the services our company offers, especially from West Virginia to Florida and east to Ohio. We will be taking advantage of all the new technologies to create big results for our customers," McGaffee said. "We promise to quickly become an established leader of asset disposals of construction equipment, on-road trucks and trailers and agriculture equipment."

The Iron Auction Group also will work with government agencies and financial institutions looking to divest themselves of equipment and other desirable assets. Between the three principals, they boast almost 60 years of experience and $130M in auction sales. McMillan Jr. also referenced McGaffee himself.

"Matt is regarded as of the country's most gifted and dynamic equipment auction professionals," he said.

McGaffee's partners also are highly vested in the construction industry, owning their own equipment dealership. They are committed to ensuring that the Iron Auction Group treat their diverse pool of customers with the same level of integrity and attention to detail.

"People, companies and agencies choose to auction off heavy equipment for a wide array of reasons. It's our job to provide sellers with a more global reach and a world-class sales and marketing platform while exceeding the expectations of all parties involved," Finley added.

IAG also is committed to helping customers effectively divest themselves of unwanted equipment in other ways.

IAG already has major auctions scheduled for later this year in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic markets. The company is headquartered in Charleston, S.C.
