Fecon Inc.’s Explorer Series EX300S seismic drill is outfitted for high production in the challenges of seismic exploration drilling.

Rated for up to 300 ft. (91 m) depth, standard features include a 46 hp (34 kW) crawler with all-terrain rubber track undercarriage rated at 4.5 gpsi, a powerful 99 hp (74 kW) on-board 300-cfm/200-psi air compressor, a front-mounted 4 in. (10 cm) vertical drill mast with a secondary rod holder for 20 ft. (6 m) depth at the mast, and a side-mounted rod rack making total on-board depth capacity 60 ft. (18 m).

With a combination of 10 ft. (3 m) auger rod, 10 ft. straight rods, and an air hammer on board, the EX300S can drill soft, hard, or rocky ground without having to go back to the truck for changing conditions, according to the manufacturer.

A compact size of 194 in. L x 73 in. W x 94 in. (493 by 185 by 239 cm) H, and impressive maneuverability gets the EX300S in and out of tight spaces and changing terrain quickly. Options for a 9,000-lb. (4,082 kg) winch, mud pump, and a 200 ft. (61 m) rod rack also are available.
