Construction Equipment Guide

Felling's narrow neck semi-trailers offer payload capacities ranging from 35 to 50 tons (32 to 45 t). The trailers have 16-in. (40.6 cm) structural steel H-beams, 10-in. (25 cm) structural channel side rails, and 6-in. (15 cm) I-beam crossmembers.

There are a multitude of options available to customize the trailers, which are ideal for hauling a wide range of heavy industrial construction equipment such as motorgraders, loaders, dozers and crawlers.

The narrow neck models can be built one of two ways, the first is with a narrow neck and open wheels with loading bearing bolsters. The second way is with optional motor grader ramps and a floor plate over the wheels with grouser bars, which increases usable deck space. The overall deck length ranges from 34 to 53 ft. (10 to 16 m) with a 3 ft. (.9 m) beavertail.

Other features include:

• 25,000 lb. (11,340 kg) oil bath axles

• 10 bolt hub pilot wheels

• 9700 hutch adj. suspension

• 200,000 lb. (90,718 kg) twin 2-speed landing gear

• White oak deck (2-in. [5 cm] nominal)

• 37-in. (94 cm) loaded deck height

• 24-in. by 6-ft. (61 cm by 1.8 m) self-cleaning angle spring-assist iron ramps

• D.O.T. approved LED lighting

Felling Trailers Inc. has been manufacturing industrial trailers for 33 years and building rigid neck semi trailers for 18 years. Along with the narrow neck model, Felling also manufactures additional rigid neck semi-trailers, such as the MX series, tilt deck, hydraulic tail, and the paver special series. The rigid neck line has four neck degrees available to choose from: 20, 30, 45 and 90 degrees. (Paver Special is standard with a 20-degree neck.)

Since 1996, Felling has used electrostatic paint application paired with steel shot blasting in lieu of acid etch.

Felling Trailers offers a 3 year paint warranty along with its 5 year structural warranty.
