Bomag Americas Inc. and Territory Manager Larry Keach announced Finkbiner Equipment Company is the authorized Bomag Americas asphalt paving and rehabilitation distributor in portions of Illinois. In a territory stretching from central and northern Illinois into the Chicago market area, including Lake and Porter counties in Indiana, Finkbiner Equipment now offers asphalt contractors Bomag’s line of Cedarapids paving and material transfer equipment and the MPH and CMI RS series of reclaimer/stabilizers. Throughout central Illinois, reaching from Springfield to the Quad Cities, Finkbiner Equipment also offers Bomag’s milling equipment line.

“Finkbiner’s focus is on the road building contractor,” said John Hood, director of sales, heavy equipment of Bomag Americas Inc. “This makes them the perfect match for expanding market share of our paving, reclaimer/stabilizer and milling equipment.”

“We, along with many asphalt contractors in this territory, have a lot of respect for the experience and passion Finkbiner brings to the road building and rehabilitation equipment marketplace. They were a top-performing Blaw Knox paver distributor for decades and, more recently, for Cedarapids and CMI equipment as well. Their commitment to parts and service support will bring this same success to the Bomag equipment line,” Keach added.

As a Bomag asphalt paving equipment distributor, Finkbiner Equipment represents the expansive range of Cedarapids commercial and mainline pavers and material transfer equipment. The line includes the CR662RM RoadMix, which doubles as both an asphalt paver and material transfer vehicle, increasing utilization rates.

“Bomag has a solid paver line now backed by a solid manufacturer, and this has us excited about moving forward,” said Marty Ahrendt, president of Finkbiner Equipment.

For the rehabilitation contractor, the CMI RS series of recyclers boast full-depth reclamation capabilities of asphalt roads with cutting depths ranging from 16 to 20 in. (40.6 to 50.8 cm) and widths from 96 to 120 in. (243.8 to 304.8 cm). Bomag’s MPH Series of soil stabilizers and asphalt recyclers offer cutting widths from 79 to 94.7 in. (200.7 to 240.5 cm) with depths ranging from 12 to 21.7 in. (30.5 to 55.1 cm).

The Bomag range of high-performance utility and half-lane milling machines offer with cutting widths from 11.8 to 98.4 in. (30 to 250 cm) in horsepower classes ranging from 125 to 590 hp (92 to 440 kW).

“Bomag manufactures a broad line of milling machines, and we are enthusiastic about the market potential for these machines,” added Ahrendt.

“Over the years, Finkbiner has earned an ironclad reputation for working hard and doing what it takes to keep the customer up and running,” said Keach. “Their talented sales and service team members have been renting, selling and servicing this type of equipment for decades, so Finkbiner will face no learning curve for this part of the Bomag product line.”
