Scott Walter has accepted the position as director of road building of Flagler Construction Equipment LLC.
In this position, Walter will be responsible for leading the product sales and marketing effort for all road development products in the Florida market. This will include coordinating growth initiatives, providing leading solutions and consultation for road building customers within all aspects of paving and compaction.
Walter comes to Flagler from Wirtgen America Inc., where he served as director of corporate accounts and dealer development for North America. Prior to that, he spent seven years with Ingersoll Rand, where he held increasingly responsibility positions in sales, dealer development and was a key member in the development of Ingersoll Rand Remarketing.
“I am very pleased and excited to be part of the Flagler organization. Due to the economic challenges that Florida is experiencing most of our competitors are down sizing, we at Flagler are investing in the future,” Walter said. “We are adding outside sales staff to better serve our customers needs and have recently completed a new facility in Ft. Myers, which is the model that we will duplicate at the rest of our other eight locations in Florida.”
Flagler has more than 30 dedicated field service trucks as well as one of the largest rental fleets of compaction and paving equipment in the Southeast.

With Volvo’s recent acquisition of Ingersoll Rand and Blaw Knox, Flagler continues to invest in customer training and support of all the road building products which include Volvo, Blaw-Knox, Mauldin, Gomaco, Broce Broom and Champion motorgraders.
