Opportunity recently came knocking for Flagler Construction Equipment, and it has a new facility to show for it.

Flagler’s new facility, located at 9601 Boggy Creek Road, on the south side of Orlando, represents the full line of Volvo construction and paving equipment, as well as Champion and Mauldin equipment.

“This facility came available and it provided the opportunity to upgrade our facilities to match our customers and the products we serve. It was also a good opportunity to get a good facility designed for an equipment dealership,” said Steve Tanner, vice president of sales.

The new location allowed Flagler to upgrade and expand its product support in the central Florida area.

“We now have a full service hydraulic cylinder service where we can handle cylinders 24 feet long and up to 24 inches in diameter,” Howard Allen, vice president of product support said.

“We also have a small component rebuild area that we didn’t have before and now have the space to rebuild asphalt pavers,” he added.

The new facility also includes expanded capability for fleet lube services and the additional property will allow Flagler to expand its rental fleet.

Rodney Weatherington, training manager, has been relocated to the new location where he can provide hands on training for the mechanics, all of who are Volvo Master Guild technicians.

The Orlando facility now has the largest parts warehouse of all Flagler’s facilities and allows it to buy in bulk and store more parts, the company said.

Flagler’s home office is located at 4700 Millenia Blvd., Suite 500 in Orlando, and the company has branches in Davie, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, and Tampa, Fla., in addition to Orlando.
