Several promotions and leadership changes in the Machinery Division have recently been announced at Foley Incorporated, the Caterpillar dealer in Northern New Jersey and Staten Island, NY.
The changes in positions and responsibilities are as follows:
• Bob Kukulski, vice president of machine sales, will take a more active role in marketing Caterpillar construction products in the field. Kukulski will utilize his expertise, gathered over 25 years in machine sales and management at Foley, to focus on enhancing customer relations and developing long term strategies. Kukulski will continue to direct the sales force in the field, assisting salesmen in transactions and customers with product selection.
• Bart Rhea, general sales manager, machine sales, will assume the responsibility of managing the internal operations of the machine sales department, focusing on growth strategies for the company. He will also concentrate on coordinating inventories and administering manufacturer-marketing programs. Rhea has been in various sales positions with Foley since 1985 and will also provide supervision of the field sales force.
• Jamie Foley has been promoted to administrative sales manager in addition to his current position as light construction sales manager. He will be responsible for the inside machine sales staff and oversee all sales processes. As light construction sales manager he directs the sales efforts of all Caterpillar products under 100 hp, including all compact construction equipment – skid steers, mini-excavators and compact wheel loaders.
• Bill Connolly has accepted the position of construction service manager. Connolly will manage all aspects of the construction service department, including field service. He comes to the Foley organization after holding various management positions at Caterpillar dealers in Florida since 1984. Connolly previously held positions as parts manager, general service manager – lift division, and for the last three years service operations manager of power systems at Ring Power in Florida.
• Jeff Merle has been promoted to used equipment manager. Prior to accepting his new role with the company, Merle gained valuable construction machinery experience at Foley as a parts and service representative, and most recently as machine sales account manager. Merle will manage all used equipment assets and sales efforts.
• John Brinkley, formerly used equipment manager, has assumed the position of used equipment specialist. In his new position he will be challenged to buy quality used equipment to fill customer needs and promote sales outside of Foley’s territory. Brinkley has many years of experience in the construction equipment industry, which provides him the expertise necessary to evaluate used machines.
• Michael Cann has been promoted to assistant administrative sales manager/CCE (compact construction equipment) sales coordinator. He will be managing CCE assets and will also work closely with Caterpillar involving pricing issues, support programs and machine configurations on all construction products. Cann has been with the company since 1998.
“All of these changes will significantly strengthen our organization and our ability to compete as our businesses grow in complexity. We are adding talented and competent personnel to our management ranks.” Susan Connolly, executive vice president and COO said. “It is Foley’s goal to always look for better ways to help its customers succeed, and these changes will help in doing so. Foley realizes the need to commit more resources to the business, those resources are both human and financial, to better serve its customers.”
