Mike Held, vice president of Marketing, Information/Technology (I/T), and Human Resources, has announced the creation of a new I/T Development Group at Foley Incorporated.

The purpose of the I/T Development Group will be to create new tools at Foley that deliver faster and more effective communication with customers. These new tools will provide customers with “live” information that will help them maximize their productivity and profitability.

Leading the I/T Development Group will be Greg Feenstra, who was recently promoted to manager, I/T Development. Feenstra worked in the I/T field before starting his career with Foley Incorporated in 1999.

He started as an I/T support desk analyst and was soon promoted to eCommerce business manager. Among his accomplishments were developing the corporate Web site and expanding customer usage of the Caterpillar PartStore, an on-line parts purchasing system.

Most recently, he led the development of “The Foley On-line Novelty Store,” where customers can shop on-line for authentic Caterpillar merchandise.

Reporting to Feenstra will be Eric Rampolla, who was recently promoted to senior programmer analyst. Rampolla began his career at Foley in 1997 as a programmer analyst and is responsible for data analysis, software development and support for the company’s telecommunication system.

“Given their combined technical expertise and knowledge of customer business practices, I am confident that Greg and Eric will develop world class information systems that will result in greater customer satisfaction,” said Held.

Foley Incorporated is the Caterpillar dealer in Northern New Jersey, Staten Island and Bermuda.
