Four U.S. Companies Win Border Wall Prototype Construction Contracts

When complete, the 30-ft.-by-30-ft. prototypes will be tested in San Diego, Reuters reported.

The Trump administration announced it has chosen four construction companies to build the prototypes for the border wall, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Aug. 31, Reuters reported.

The companies chosen are:

  • Caddell Construction Company, Montgomery, Ala.
  • Fisher Sand & Gravel Company, Tempe, Ariz.
  • Texas Sterling Construction Company, Houston
  • W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company, Philadelphia, Miss.

The agency said the four contracts range between $400,000 and $500,000 each. When complete, the 30-ft.-by-30-ft. prototypes will be tested in San Diego, Reuters reported.
