Archer Western Construction LLC and joint venture partner Brown and Caldwell were awarded the Progressive Design-Build project at Fulton County's Big Creek Water Reclamation Facility in Roswell, Ga.

The Big Creek Water Reclamation Facility, owned by Fulton County, serves the largest service area and receives the largest amount of wastewater flow of all the reclamation facilities in the county's northern service area, outside of Atlanta. The Progressive Design-Build project will upgrade and expand the facility from 24 to 38 million gal. per day to meet the projected wastewater treatment demands from future growth and eliminate odors from the facility. The project is expected to be Fulton County's largest public works project in the next 50 years.

Atlanta-based Archer Western is part of The Walsh Group, the largest water and wastewater treatment plant builder in the United States per Engineering News-Record. Joint Venture partner Brown and Caldwell is one of the world's largest environmentally focused engineering and construction firms and a recognized leader in adapting technologies to address complex environmental challenges on projects throughout the United States.

Archer Western and Brown and Caldwell also were responsible for the delivery of the multi-award-winning Johns Creek Environmental Campus Design-Build project for Fulton County.
