Furukawa Rock Drill USA, a worldwide leader in construction and mining machinery, has released a new mid-size hammer perfectly suited for backhoes and mini-excavators in the 10- to 15-ton (9 to 13.6) carrier range. With two unique configurations, the Fx125 series is engineered to handle larger and more demanding jobs than ever before. Whether it is on roads, bridges, rocks or utility work, the Fx125 series is designed for reliability and ease of use.

The Fx125 series breakers offer improved durability, with features including a strong, mono-block body and replaceable cylinder liner for reduced maintenance. In addition, Furukawa's elimination of thru-bolts has proven to decrease downtime and failure rate, according to the manufacturer.

Operators will appreciate performance features that make their job simple. The TLB version incorporates switch hitch technology, making the breaker quickly adaptable to most rubber-tired backhoes. Attachment is as easy as inserting an indexing disc and rotating it to OEM center dimensions — no need for separate mounting brackets.

The Qtv version works well on larger mini-excavators, especially in noise-sensitive working environments. Now, carriers equipped with quick-couplers may take advantage of the same floating top-mount boss mounting system as those supplied with FRD's larger hammers.

Each Furukawa hammer comes complete with a Pro-Pak for ease of installation. The Pro-Pak includes hose whips, mounting hardware, standard working steel and tool kit with operating manual at no additional charge.
