Gatwood Crane Rental Service Inc. in Arlington Heights, IL, not only purchased its very first Link-Belt crane ever, it tripled it and purchased three HTC-8690 telescopic truck cranes for delivery in the first quarter of 2005. The first crane shipped in late February 2005.

Gatwood Crane Rental Service Inc. was founded in 1947 as a crane rental service company for Chicago area contractors. Under the previous guidance and direction of Chuck Gatwood, and now with third generation Ed Gatwood, it has grown and expanded to become one of the largest crane rental companies in the Chicagoland area with a fleet of more than 40 cranes ranging from 10 to 360 ton lifting capacity.

McAllister Equipment Co., with headquarters in Alsip, IL, has been a Link-Belt distributor for 50 years and in addition to the headquarters has full crane service at its three other Illinois branch locations in E. Peoria, Ingleside and Rockford.

The new HTC-8690 is Link-Belt’s most recent truck crane design in a long line of job proven telescopic truck crane designs.
