Gehl’s 7810E skid loader is powered by a Cummins 99-hp (74 kW) turbo-charged diesel engine with 305 ft.-lb. (414 Nm) torque. It has an increased SAE rated load capacity of 3,850 lbs. (1,746 kg).
From breaking, hauling and grinding concrete, to digging and moving materials and loading trucks, the new Gehl 7810E skid loader has the power and hydraulic capabilities to make it one of the most productive pieces of equipment on the work site, according to the manufacturer.
“This new model skid loader was designed to be the ultimate in digging and lifting performance,” said Kelly Moore, skid loader product manager of Gehl. “The 7810E has a host of features, including true vertical-lift linkage, which provides consistent forward reach throughout the entire lift cycle. A lift height of nearly 12 feet is the highest in the industry.”
With a 3,300 psi (228 bar) relief pressure, the new 7810E skid loader delivers a bucket breakout force of 8,340 lbs. (3,783 kg). The auxiliary hydraulic system, which provides standard 29 gpm (110 Lpm) adjustable flow and up to 41 gpm (155 Lpm) with optional high-flow, creates enhanced hydraulic attachment performance.
Additionally, a two-speed drive is available, which offers ground speeds up to 12.5 mph (20 kmh). The 55-in. (140 cm) wheelbase, combined with the optional Hydraglide ride control system, with a special lift arm suspension system that allows the lift arm to “float,” provides a smoother ride at faster ground speeds.
The spacious cab provides more head, shoulder and leg room, resulting in greater overall operator comfort. An optional deluxe suspension seat adjusts to fight fatigue, and a choice of servo-controlled low-effort controls deliver precise responses for top productivity.
Four choices of controls are available: joystick, dual-hand, hand-foot, and T-bar “hands-only.”
An optional factory-installed air-conditioning and heating system adds comfort and luxury, while 360-degree visibility makes working in cramped environments safer and easier, according to the manufacturer.
The Power-A-Tach universal-type quick-attach system option enables users to quickly connect and disconnect attachments without leaving the operator’s seat.
As with all Gehl skid loaders, the new 7810E skid loader offers easy access for routine service. The engine cover has a gas-spring assist for easy lifting, and the rear door, radiator and oil cooler swing out for easy access.
The ROPS/FOPS cab structure is easily pivoted up and out of the way with a built-in hydraulic pump, or with a new optional electric pump. A newly designed fan has been incorporated for more air flow, improved cooling ability and quieter sound levels.
Improved fuel tank design with increased capacity of 30.5 gal. (115 L) has been incorporated to accommodate long operating days.
In addition to the new 7810E skid loader, Gehl offers a complete line of E-Series skid loader models with SAE operating load ratings from 1,050 to 3,850 lbs (476 to 1,746 kg). All Gehl skid loaders are designed with enhanced performance, and operator comfort, and are designed to use multiple attachments for added versatility.
