General Equipment & Supplies Hosts Aggregate Seminar 2010

General Equipment & Supplies Inc., Fargo, N.D., hosted Aggregate Seminar 2010 on March 2 and 3 at the Holiday Inn, Fargo. The company played host to more than 260 customers who attended educational and application training sessions on a variety of topics. In addition, 20 vendors had booths set up and an extensive equipment display allowed customers to inspect a variety of aggregate and construction machines. Attendees had a chance to relax and socialize at a catered lunch during each day and an after-hours gathering on March 2.

Jerry Kern, aggregate equipment manager, General Equipment, explained, “Our goal is for our customers to be as successful as possible. Hosting an event like this is a great way for our customers to see new products, get answers to their questions and hopefully learn a few new things that will help them run a more successful operation.”

Brad Rice, territory manager of Major Wire Industries, Candiac, Quebec, Canada, ran three presentations for his company during the course of the two days, covering a wide selection of information on screening media, options for maintenance and solutions for equipment failure. Each session ended with a question-and answer-session.

“This was one of the best shows we’ve ever had,” Rice said. “We had a number of very interested customers who asked a lot of questions. We also had a booth on the show floor and that attracted a great deal of interest as well. I was very impressed with the entire show. What really struck me was the way that all of the principals of General Equipment were present on both days, talking to everyone and answering questions. General Equipment really had their act together and the show was very well presented. It was very professional and up front. General Equipment is a great partner and we love working with them.”

Superior Industries LLC, Morris, Minn., also participated in the event. Mary Erholtz, marketing manager, felt that, “General Equipment did a great job putting this together. We were able to showcase new products and we ran seminars to help educate the customers. For us, it was about bringing everyone together and we were able to visit with a lot of our customers, and General Equipment’s customers who use our products, in a very short time. We were so happy to be a part of it.”
