Genesis Attachments’ GXT 335 and GXT 995 straight and rotator models are now available. With the number of models now at 12, the XT mobile shear line fits 27,000 to 180,000 lb. (12,247 to 81,646 kg) excavators. Shorter in length and height and lighter in weight, the GXT features a center of gravity that is closer to the excavator, enabling models to mount on excavators that previously could only carry smaller, less powerful shears, according to the manufacturer.

The GXT also features an apex, where most cutting is done, that is closer to the back of the jaws, improving material gathering and increasing cutting performance and efficiency while reducing maintenance.

Additional GXT models are planned, and the complete line will fit 20,000 to 250,000 lb. (9,072 to 113,398 kg) excavators.
