Focusing on its commitment to provide excellent customer support and service, Genie has hired four new field service representatives in North America to represent the company — Victoria Bergsma, William Halfhill, Cory Baiz and Bart Fongers. Twenty-six Genie product support field technicians are now strategically located throughout the United States and Canada, providing assistance to its customers.

“We understand that equipment uptime is critical to productivity, both in keeping our customers' machines rented and for maximum performance on customer jobsites,” said Bob Bartley, Genie Senior Director of Product Support and Service Solutions, Terex AWP. “Our product support team works tirelessly to keep customers' Genie equipment uptime at a maximum and high performing long after it leaves the factory. With our expanded field service team in North America, we're now even more accessible for our customers.”

Victoria Bergsma joins the team to cover the Ontario, Canada, territory. She is an experienced veteran of the aerial equipment business having served in roles as a shop and field technician, shop/service manager and branch management. “Victoria's variety of experience in the aerial and equipment industry will be a benefit to quickly assist our customers,” said Bartley.

With more than 20 years of aerial industry experience, William (Bill) Halfhill oversees the Gulf region of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. “Bob's extensive experience working in rentals enables him to immediately partner with our customers in providing timely solutions,” said Bartley.

Cory Baiz's territory covers Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas. He has experience in the aerial and crane industry and has held multiple positions in the rental field. “With his background, Cory will be able to quickly problem solve and make accurate decisions for our customers that fit with the fast-paced rental marketplace,” said Bartley.

Bart Fongers oversees efforts in the central Florida region. He is very experienced with national rental conditions and large jobsite aerial equipment. “Bart brings rental, industry and superior troubleshooting skills to this role, which will benefit both our team and our customers,” said Bartley.

Every Genie product support team member is fully trained through the Genie Tech Pro™ Service Training, making them well-versed and confident about Genie technologies such as hydraulics, electrical systems, control systems, machine inspections and preventive maintenance. In addition to their in-depth product knowledge, Genie product support team members boast 645 years of “real world” industry experience.

“With the addition of Victoria, William, Cory and Bart, Genie product support field service team members in North America represent a combined 165 years of rental industry experience and 480 years of aerial industry experience,” said Bartley. “We carefully select the team members we send out to the field to interact with our customers. As we continue to offer products to meet the growing needs of our customers, our field service team plays an extremely valuable role in maintaining these relationships. Our team's unique skill sets and experiences, as well as their wealth of industry expertise and knowledge, will help us expand our customer support efforts in the field.”
