Construction Equipment Guide

Gradall Industries Inc. is introducing the Vacall All Excavate hydro excavator. All Excavate models have dedicated systems that are designed for excavating around water, sewer, gas and utility lines and other jobs that don’t require vast excavation.

The All Excavate has a high-pressure water system that contains a hydraulically driven variable speed system with rheostat control, conserving water usage and minimizing refill time. The system powers a wand that delivers a high-pressure stream to break up material. Water pumps are available in 10, 15 and 20 gpm (37.9, 56.8 and 75.7 Lpm) with 3,000 to 3,500 psi. To protect from freezing, the water system, wand, control panel, tools and worker apparel are enclosed in a heated compartment.

Water tanks are fabricated with aircraft-quality aluminum for extra strength and a lifetime warranty. They are mounted high on the chassis, reducing damage from debris and eliminating any relocation needed to dump the debris tank.

An oval-shaped debris body with cylindrical sides is designed for extra strength and material dumping. An optional flush system cleans the interior of the body, requiring no operator spraying assistance. Powder-coat paint provides a durable finish, while the optional galvanized tank provides a lifetime warranty.

A new AllSmartFlow CAN bus intelligent control system has a programmable LCD display that monitors engine, water-flow and vacuum performance while allowing for more precise boom and reel movements. A fully proportional pendant, either wired or wireless, is programmable for productive control away from the chassis.

A multi-stage vacuum filtration system has a simplified design to reduce maintenance, extend performance and increase working life. As material is deposited into the debris body, air continues to move through a dual cyclone separator where material particles and moisture are removed.

A hydro boom that rear-loads debris is located at the rear of the chassis. The 8-ft. 6-in. (2.6 m) telescoping boom reaches at a 320-degree radius, allowing the operator to work on different jobs without having to reposition the chassis.

The tailgate design is simple. With a single control, the operator can open, close and lock the tailgate. Reverse slope-lock wedges tighten under weight of a load and a D-ring gasket and shimmed hinge points create a superior seal, according to the manufacturer.

Vacall products, wholly owned by the Alamo Group, are designed, built and supported by Gradall Industries Inc. with processes that meet ISO 9001 standards.
