Construction Equipment Guide

Grasan mobile screen plants are available up to 8 by 24 ft. (2.4 by 7.3 m) size with inclined screens and up to 7 by 20 ft. (2 by 6 m) size with horizontal screens. Inclined units can be equipped with spray bars and slurry flume for washing applications. Grasan plants can be custom designed to work with varying quarry layouts or existing equipment and optional blending gates and various cross belt configurations are available. Both horizontal and inclined units can be supplied with fold-down feed boxes to minimize setup time.

Mobile units are designed for high mobility with fast setup, according to the manufacturer.

The horizontal screen plant is driven into place under the feed conveyor and the legs are blocked. No other setup procedure is required. Optional hydraulic outrigger legs make setup even easier and screens are mounted on single-, tandem- or triple-axle trailers.

Standard equipment includes fifth wheel kingpin hitch, dual 11:00 x 22.5 tires, air brakes, signal lights and mud flaps. Units are designed with ample room under the discharge chutes for radial stackers or transfer conveyors.

Body frames are fabricated with high-strength wide flange beams, include walkways with access ladders and have fixed or folding support legs. Feed boxes and discharge chutes have wear liners, and the entire chute assembly removes easily in one piece for maintenance. There is an oversize electric motor for fast start-up in cold weather. The fines-gathering conveyor and reversible side discharge conveyor(s) come complete with discharge chutes and adjustable belt scraper on fines conveyor minimizes clean-up.
