An exciting new venue, and a larger new show, await those who participate in the 2009 Philadelphia Construction Expo on Jan. 27 and 28, shortly after the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Oaks, Pa., opens its doors for the first time.
This year’s show will feature the combined efforts of CEG Productions, Fort Washington, Pa.; Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Inc., East Norriton, Pa.; and Asphalt Care Equipment Inc., Bensalem, Pa., giving area contractors, landscapers and municipal workers three shows under one conveniently located roof.
The new facility is less than 10 mi. west of King of Prussia, Pa., and is easily accessible from all five counties in the Greater Philadelphia region. Hotel accommodations ranging from luxury to budget are available throughout the area, with three new hotels planned in the immediate vicinity. Shopping, restaurants and entertainment are all readily at hand both onsite and for those who prefer to wander farther afield.
The facility, one of the largest suburban exhibition centers on the east coast features up to 210,000 sq. ft. (19,509 sq m) of uninterrupted exhibition space on a single floor, large loading docks for easy move-in and move-out, 22- to 45-ft. (6.7 to 13.7 m) ceilings and 5,000 free onsite parking spaces.
Geoffrey Zeh, president of ABC Inc., said, “We feel great about the new location. It’s exciting and it’s totally appropriate to tie-in with our new partnership with CEG and Asphalt Care. The reason we are joining forces with CEG and Asphalt Care is to make the event stronger and this is the perfect way to do it. By partnering with a couple of quality organizations, we can have an even bigger and better event.”
Representatives from Asphalt Care Equipment also are enthusiastic about the new facility and partnership.
“Asphalt Care Equipment is excited that the show is moving back to the Philadelphia suburbs. We think this location better serves our customer base. The people at Oaks have been terrific and are very accommodating for our vendors,” said David Fackler, president of Asphalt Care Equipment.
“In 2004 through 2006, CEG and Asphalt Care Equipment combined shows, but for the past few years we’ve been unable to participate. We are excited to be back working with CEG and elated to welcome ABC into the partnership. This will be a great benefit for all who attend the show this year,” he concluded.
Bob Buckley, president of CEG Productions, and Sheila Kirby, CEG Productions trade show manager, report that plans for the 2009 show are well under way and they expect to have additional information within a few weeks. In the meantime, please give Bob a call at 800-992-7116 or Sheila at 800-523-2200 with any questions.
We look forward to seeing you there. CEG
