On Jan. 1, Hugh Harvey and Dave Foster took on vice president positions at Ingersoll-Rand (IR).
As vice president of international company-owned stores, Harvey will be responsible for implementing IR’s infrastructure strategic plan for growth of company stores globally.
Harvey joined IR in 1978 as a distributor representative in western Pennsylvania after serving in the Army. Since then, he has successfully worked his way up IR’s ladder, working as a product manager of the road machinery division, a European serviced area manager of road machinery and later moving on to regional vice president and branch manager of company stores in the Southeast
As regional vice president and branch manager of company stores in the Southeast and Midwest, Foster will continue to be responsible for the sales, profitability, asset management and general operations of the company stores in Georgia. He will gain additional responsibility for the leadership, overall sales, profitability, operational and financial requirements in the Southeast and Midwest company stores. This includes Gainesville, Lake City, Marietta & Norcross, all in Georgia; Nashville and Knoxville, TN; Milwaukee, WI; Villa Park and Springfield, IL; and Detroit.
Foster’s resume includes both financial and general management of several Fortune 500 sales/distribution organizations, including Genuine Parts, Automatic Data Processing and Borden Inc.
Foster joined Perimeter Bobcat in 2001 as the controller and was instrumental in the integration of Perimeter Bobcat into the Ingersoll-Rand organization. Most recently, Foster held the position of vice president and branch manager of the four infrastructure company-owned stores located in Georgia, where he was responsible for the successful introduction of IR brand equipment into previous Bobcat-only stores.
