Hawthorne CAT Announces New Used Equipment Sales Manager

Hawthorne CAT has promoted Craig Baker as its new used equipment sales manager.

Baker previously held the assistant used equipment sales manager for five years. Dick Williams, Hawthorne’s current used equipment sales manager, has decided to retire and relocate to Reno, Nev., after 17 years with the company. Williams’ last day was April 15.

Baker has worked at Hawthorne since 1982. He has held various positions in the rental division including fleet manager, area manager and service manager.

“Craig’s knowledge and background within our used equipment department and rental sales divisions will make him a great fit moving forward within our organization in this new position. Craig will be responsible for the marketing and selling of all used Caterpillar machines, allied products and Cat rental machines in San Diego and assisting Hawaii as needed with their used machine market as well.” said David Dean, Hawthorne’s general sales manager.

Hawthorne CAT is the authorized dealer of Caterpillar construction and power equipment in San Diego, Hawaii, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa. Hawthorne sells, rents, provides parts and service to various industries including heavy construction, general building construction, earthmoving, excavation, quarry and aggregate, landscaping, marine, paving, waste management, engine power, power generation and grounds maintenance.
