At ConExpo-Con/AGG, the international trade show for the construction industries in Las Vegas, the lighting and electronics specialist HELLA will showcase its comprehensive range of products including the LED versions of the worldwide best-selling Ultra Beam range of worklights. In 2014, an LED variant was added to the globally best-selling Ultra Beam range of work lights. The light-optimized second generation is now coming onto the market. Due to a much higher light output of 4,000 lumens, the Ultra Beam LED Gen. II can even replace the xenon worklights without any problems, according to the manufacturer.

Due to its LED technology, the Ultra Beam LED offers convincingly low power consumption – durability, no maintenance and a light color very close to daylight, which prevents fatigue and allows switching the low-beam lights on and off under various lighting conditions and in specific situations such as in tunnels. The work light can be used for close-range as well as long-range illumination and is also available with ZEROGLARE light distribution. The ZEROGLARE system specifically aims light from the LEDs towards the ground in front of the vehicle, creating a very clear-cut boundary between light and dark. This means that drivers of oncoming vehicles are not distracted, which increases the safety and comfort.

To meet the stringent requirements of the mining sector HELLA developed a Mining version called RokLUME series, of this work light series. The HELLA Mining RokLUME 280 series is the perfect worklight for the tough conditions in a mining business. Quality materials like the impact resistant hard-coated polycarbonate lens and the premium anti-corrosion aluminum housing ensure a long lifetime and maintenance-free lighting product. The heavy duty stainless steel bracket and the rubber dampening system keep everything in check from vibration. The electronic components fulfill the statutory approvals including ECE-R10 and RCM compliance. The RokLUME 280 features an advanced NanoSafe non-stick and easy to clean surface coating. The work lights are mounted very quickly, thanks to the Nord-Lock washers and the laser engraved inclination angles on the bracket.

The RokLUME 280 features a powerful light engine of 4,300 measured lumens and comes with five different light distributions including our industry first ZEROGLARE optic. HELLA will furthermore present its comprehensive product range specifically for the construction and mining industry. It ranges from work lights and beacons via front, tail and side lights as well as interior lighting to electrics and electrical solutions.
