JESCO is now the authorized Hitachi construction equipment dealer in New Jersey and the metro New York area.
“We are honored to offer Hitachi as part of our equipment line,” stated Jon Robustelli, president of JESCO Inc.
“By representing Hitachi, we give our customers a choice between two well-respected construction equipment brands. It also gives us the ability to expand our relationships with quarries and large demolition contractors due to the fact that we will be able to offer them larger excavator models such as the Hitachi EX1200 and mining shovels. In addition to Hitachi sales and rentals, all three JESCO locations will handle Hitachi parts and service for both new and existing Hitachi construction equipment owners.”
JESCO will now carry the entire line of Hitachi excavators and rigid-frame Hitachi trucks. The Hitachi excavator line consists of the U-Series compact excavators, the Zaxis Series construction excavators and the EX Series shovels.
The operating weight of the U-Series ranges from 4,173 to 13,227 lbs. (1,893 to 6,000 kg), perfect for landscape contractors and light construction work. The zero tail-swing of the U Series design allows operators to work in confined areas. The U-Series also can be fitted with a wide range of landscaping, construction and demolition attachments.
The improved Zaxis and Zaxis-3 Series construction excavators range from 13,227 to 110,231 lbs. (6,000 to 50,000 kg) in operating weight. The Zaxis ZX650LC-3 and ZX850LC-3 excavator models and EX Series shovels range from 110,231 to 1,763,698 lbs. (50,000 to 800,000 kg).
Hitachi updated the Zaxis Series excavators’ HIOS III hydraulic system for multi-functional operations to simultaneously dig, propel and rotate effortlessly. They also have enhanced the excavators’ multiple sensors to instantly feed automatic micro adjustments to the hydraulic system. This increases hydraulic power and maintains steady movement, making the hydraulics extremely responsive.
Hitachi also added new Isuzu Tier III-certified engines to the Zaxis excavator line. This new engine features a common-rail injection system that increases engine output while lowering fuel consumption, an ever increasing concern of contractors with the rising cost of fuel.
“We keep a close eye on the economy for the products we carry, especially in terms of fuel because we understand that every gallon affects our customers’ bottom line,” stated Anthony Falzarano, vice president of sales of JESCO.
“The new Zaxis-3 Series Isuzu engine provides increased power and speed, which will increase our customers’ productivity and profits. Hitachi’s improvements to the Zaxis-3 Series continue to keep it one of the most all-around efficient excavators on the market,” continued Falzarano. The rigid-frame Hitachi truck line includes five models from the EH-750-3 to the EH-5000 Series.
The rigid-frame truck EH Series has heaped capacities from 6.3 to 240.4 cu. yd. (4.8 to 183.8 cu m) and power from 525 to 2,700 hp (392 to 2,014 kW).
These tough and powerful rigid frame trucks are well suited for large construction projects, quarries and mining operations.
“Hitachi is known for designing quality construction equipment and has always been on the cutting-edge of excavator and mining shovel technology,” said Falzarano.
“Hitachi’s recent improvements to their construction equipment demonstrates their dedication to the design and engineering of superior products.”
