H.O. Penn held an open house at its Poughkeepsie, N.Y., branch on Aug. 14, and another at its Holtsville, N.Y., branch on Aug. 16.

Products were on display and there were demonstrations of machine control technology as well as free food and drink. H.O. Penn took this opportunity to showcase its recently added product lines including but not limited to:

• Metso crushers and screeners

• Exodus material handlers

• Cat CT660 vocational on-highway truck

• Crane Carrier on-highway truck

• Weiler paving products

In addition there also were booths set up to showcase H.O. Penn’s product support and power generation capabilities. Featured in Holtsville was a complete Caterpillar certified rebuild of a 980G recently sold to a Long Island customer. Cat certified rebuilds are quickly becoming a sought after alternative to fleet renewal among contractors across multiple industry segments, according to the company.

In Poughkeepsie, a Cat 330B hydraulic excavator owned by Garito Contracting was recently completed and showcased to illustrate the value of a Cat certified powertrain and hydraulic rebuild. In addition, a sampling of H.O. Penn product representation included Seats Inc., aftermarket replacement seats, Brigade products featuring affordable full color rear cameras, object detection and backup alarms for all applications.

As they visited the booths guests were entered into a drawing where they were eligible to win an iPad, Kindle Fire and an iPod Nano.

Guests also were treated to one-day specials on new and used Caterpillar equipment.
