H.O. Penn Machinery Company Hosts Open House in Conn.

This Cat 320 Next Generation Excavator, available in the demonstration area for hands-on use, was equipped with Caterpillar Grade Control System. Grade Control System is available in various packages designed to fit the diverse needs and expectations of individual contractors.

A big crowd pleaser, the Cat 31 Monster Energy Series racecar. This car, which is owned by Richard Childress Racing, is driven each week by Ryan Newman.

H.O. Penn’s open house not only provides an opportunity to see and experience the latest and greatest in Caterpillar equipment, but it also is a good time for friends and sometimes competitors to reconnect.

The Product Support Showcase drew a big crowd.

This year’s event was the largest turnout ever. All guests received a goody bag filled with Caterpillar promotional items and were registered to win some fantastic door prizes.

Jeff Mitchell (L), President of H.O. Penn, and Rob Cleveland, CEO of H.O. Penn, were very enthused to see the amount of support local Connecticut contractors were showing for this year’s event.

Nate (L) and Rich Russo of Russo Acres Excavation in Bozah, Conn., expressed enthusiasm for the advancements in Caterpillar’s Grade Control Technologies.

Rob Lodge (L) and Rusty Gostyla of Lodge Earthworks in Windsor, Conn., gave this Cat 320 a thorough test drive and it met with their approval.

Ryan Brechlin (L) gives his son, Wyatt, fundamental training for his future as a heavy equipment operator.

The demo area was kept busy throughout the afternoon.

Believe it or not these three gentlemen have a combined experience of nearly 100 years in the construction equipment industry. (L-R) are Kevin Kretschmer of H.O. Penn; Bob Mulvena of Caterpillar Financial; and Eric Bjornson of Metso Minerals.

On June 13th H.O. Penn Machinery Company Inc., the Caterpillar dealer for New York City and the surrounding metro market, as well as Connecticut, held an open house at their Newington, Conn., facility..

The open house gave H.O. Penn the opportunity to thank their customers for their support and to showcase the latest machine technology from Caterpillar as well as state-of-the-art technology from SITECH Metro Northeast.
