Holt CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for south, central, north and east Texas, announced the appointment of new members to its management and sales teams.
Rental Manager
Melissa Light has been named rental manager for Waco Holt Rental Services.
“I enjoy my new position very much,” Light said. “The challenges are new every day.”
In her new position, Light will manage the operations of the Holt rental store in Waco.
Light has worked at Holt’s Waco location as a sales coordinator and, earlier, as a service coordinator.
Previous to her association with Holt CAT, Light was employed at American Income Life Insurance.
Transport Manager
Dudley Calhoun has been named transport manager for the Irving area.
“We congratulate Dudley on his new role,” said Ron Craft, general manager of Holt CAT Service Operations. “His experience and commitment to excellence will be a tremendous advantage to the Service Operations department at Holt.”
In his new position, Calhoun will oversee Holt CAT’s fleet of heavy haul, hot shot and rental trucks.
He brings more than nine years of experience with Holt CAT to the role, most recently as a field service supervisor in the Power Systems Division.
“This is a great opportunity for me to be involved in the development of this new department,” Calhoun said. “I am excited to be part of the Holt CAT team and provide exceptional service to our customers.”
Manager of
Development Services
The company named Dan Norris manager of Holt Development Services Inc.
“I find it very rewarding to be in a role that will allow me to help others use the powerful tools in Holt’s Values Based Leadership program,” said Norris. “This program helps us as we continue to gain market share by providing legendary service to our customers and exceeding their expectations.”
In his new position, Norris will lead Holt staff in developing Holt’s Values Based Leadership curriculum and will help Holt employees and customers reach their developmental goals.
Norris has been employed by Holt CAT since 1999 as the sales training instructor with Holt Developmental Services. As the sales training instructor, Norris trained, coached and mentored others in developing sales skills. He also worked to grow Holt’s outreach through Values Based Leadership training programs and presentations.
Prior to joining Holt CAT, Norris lead a retail integration team with a NYSE company and gained experience in several sales positions.
Sales Representatives
Brian Van Arman has been appointed product support sales representative for the Longview area.
“I am excited to be part of the Holt CAT organization,” said Van Arman. “I look forward to providing legendary customer service for our customers.”
In his new position, Van Arman will serve as a liaison for Holt CAT’s product support division and its customers.
Van Arman comes to Holt CAT with 20 years of experience in the construction business. He previously working for Case Construction in parts and outside equipment sales.
Carl Payne has been named light construction sales representative in San Antonio.
“I am happy to be part of this first class organization,” said Payne. “And, I’m thankful for the opportunity to sell a product that I truly believe in.”
Payne has been employed by Holt CAT for two years as an equipment yard technician, assisting customers with machine and attachments shipping logistics. He also holds an associates degree in business and has experience working in the road construction industry.
In his new position, Payne will serve as a liaison for Holt’s compact construction equipment sales division and its customers.
The company named Joe Elson rental sales representative for the Longview Holt Rental Services store.
“Working for Holt CAT has been a change for the better,” said Elson. “I’m very impressed with the company.”
Elson comes to Holt CAT with eight years of experience in heavy machinery rentals.
In his new position, Elson will manage rental of Holt CAT equipment at the Longview location.
