Holt CAT Names New Senior Director of Public Affairs

Holt CAT, the Caterpillar equipment and engine dealer of south, central, north and north east Texas, has named Jim Campbell as senior director of public affairs.

Campbell has been involved in governmental affairs and strategic communications for more than 25 years. In his new role, he will support the company in fostering long-term and strategic relations with Holt’s constituencies to positively impact and advance the company’s vision and core values.

Prior to joining Holt, Campbell worked in the private sector managing the public affairs function for The DeBerry Group, a local public relations and marketing firm in San Antonio.

At The DeBerry Group, he provided consultant services in legislative and regulatory advocacy, crisis communications, media relations, community affairs and corporate communications.

Campbell also previously worked as the director of external relations of the city of San Antonio and CPS Energy. He also has served as the senior legislative assistant for U.S. Congressman Jim Chapman, and as the chief of staff of Texas State Rep. Tom Ramsey.

Campbell is active in the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, having served on the Executive Committee and chaired the Public Affairs Steering Committee in 2013.
