Lift truck manufacturer Hyster Company recently named West Coast-based Papé Material Handling as a 2008 "Dealer of Distinction."

The Hyster Dealer of Distinction recognition program defines the basic business practices and performance standards necessary to develop and maintain a professional and successful Hyster dealership. Focusing on critical business areas that drive a dealership's long-term prosperity and growth, the program measures key performance indicators, including operations, finances, customer service, employee relations and sales performance.

"We use an objective, multi-category process to identify the top-performing Hyster dealer organizations in our network," said Paul Laroia, president of Hyster Company. "While all Hyster dealers excel, only the very best of the best earn Dealer of Distinction recognition."

Papé Material Handling has branch locations in Alaska, Arizona, California, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. In order to be recognized as a Hyster Dealer of Distinction, all of a dealer's branch locations must meet the same stringent performance criteria.
