Construction Equipment Guide

This March, at ConExpo, Hyundai will reinforce its excavator line with the introduction of three new models of mini excavators ranging from 1.7 to 6.6 tons (1.6 to 6.0 t) in size. The R16-9, R27Z-9 and the brand new R60CR-9 are loaded with the latest operator conveniences, serviceability improvements and efficiency enhancements, according to the manufacturer.

Following the growing popularity of compact radius machines, Hyundai also will display two models of compact radius excavators including the R145LCR-9 and the North American debut of the R235LCR-9, a 25 ton (23 t) compact radius excavator.

This ConExpo 2011, Hyundai will display two popular 9 series wheel loader models including the HL740TM-9 tool master and the HL760-9.

Hyundai also will be launching the 9S series excavator line with the debut of the R210LC-9S. This machine will only be sold in Latin America and other parts of the world where diesel quality is inconsistent. It will include most of the new features of the 9 series excavators sold into North America, but will be equipped with a simplified Tier II compliant Cummins engine for use in Latin America. The new combination of a reliable tier II Cummins engine and all of the 9 series features will make this excavator series a valuable and reliable choice for Latin American customers, according to the manufacturer.

Another big debut is the newest and largest addition to the Hyundai forklift line, the 250D-7E, 27.5 ton (25 t) fork lift.

Hyundai also will display the service capabilities and advanced technologies of its HDTV (Hyundai diagnostic and training vehicle), including on-site demonstrations of Hyundai’s Hi-Mate - remote management system.

Hyundai is in the Silver Lot number S-617.
