Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas today said it will soon offer a “Trimble-ready” option, enabling customers to order Hyundai wheel loaders and excavators with factory-installed Trimble machine control and positioning systems.
Hyundai promoted its collaborative relationship with Trimble by participating earlier this week in the Trimble Dimensions 2016 User Conference in Las Vegas.
“Hyundai was pleased to showcase our machines equipped with Trimble systems, and we're excited to help our customers benefit from using these advanced technology solutions,” said Corey Rogers, marketing manager, Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas. “Our dealers and customers can expect to see more evidence of our collaboration with Trimble at upcoming trade shows, including CONEXPO-CON/AGG next March.”
“We were happy to welcome Hyundai as a Gold Sponsor for Trimble Dimensions,” said Jim Green, business area director for Trimble OEM Solutions, Civil Engineering and Construction Division. “The Trimble-ready option, available soon for Hyundai excavators and wheel loaders, will bring Hyundai customers a proven, cutting-edge solution that can be ordered right from the factory.”
During the three-day Trimble Dimensions event at the Venetian and Sands Expo Center, Hyundai displayed four Trimble-equipped machines, including three that performed live demonstrations in an outdoor exhibit area:
• Inside the hall, Hyundai displayed its R80CR-9A compact excavator equipped with a Trimble GCSFlex machine-control system, designed to meet the needs and budgets of owner operators and small to mid-sized contractors.
• A Hyundai R35Z-9A compact excavator demonstrated the Trimble GCS900 2D grade-control system that uses an angle sensor, dual-axis sensor and laser catcher to measure the relationship between the body, boom, stick and bucket. The system guides the operator to the desired depth and slope and determines where the bucket teeth are and should be.
• A Hyundai HX300L excavator demonstrated a dual GNSS GCS900 system – combining 3D machine positioning with bucket positioning – and a Trimble X2350 Loadrite onboard weighing system.
• A Hyundai HL955 wheel loader demonstrated a dual GNSS GCS900 grade-control, machine-positioning system.
In addition to the machines from Hyundai, Trimble Dimensions 2016 User Conference attendees saw more than 50 machines from other OEMs equipped with a full range of Trimble solutions.
