The IEDA held its Orlando, Fla., annual event on Feb. 15 to 18 at the Omni Resorts in ChampionsGate. The IEDA leaders and membership pride themselves on being reputable, highly qualified professionals in the used equipment marketplace. IEDA members have seen that participation in the IDEA has resulted in growth, opportunity and financial success. This was all on display in Orlando at the Omni Resort.

Members from many years back marveled at the growth of the self regulating IEDA, and its events. Many stories were told of past events and how this association has come a long way.

Remarkable speakers have attended the event over the years, but it will be hard to top this year’s annual meeting speakers. Don Yaeger “Sixteen Consistent Characteristics of Greatness” and Garrison Wynn “The Real Truth About Success” were phenomenal. Both discussed what it takes to become great, and shared many personal experiences. To follow was a panel to discuss the 2014 market and economic outlook. This panel included Tom Galvin, CFO of Wealth Investment Advisors and Sheldon C. Brandau, CFA of CAIA and Ted Cox, CFA of Investment Consulting.

The annual event is not just about business. It is a four-day meeting that includes golf, go-karts, fishing and clay pigeon shooting. Each was a huge success, and allowed for individuals and sponsors to enjoy their time.
