The Butler Cat story began in 1955 when Francis J Butler, who had made a name for himself in Grand Forks, ND as a contractor, was picked for the position of Cat dealer. Working in his capacity as a contractor, Butler knew two elements were key in achieving success – having the best equipment possible on hand, and dispensing invaluable knowledge and advice to customers regarding their needs. To that end, Francis Butler built his company on expertly trained employees, all working with the latest equipment at the most advanced facilities possible. Three generations later, Francis Butler’s vision still hold true as this son Matt and Grandson Dan have guided the company to success.
