The Feb. 9 heavy equipment auction in Kenmore, Wash., proved to be a real challenge. The weather did not cooperate at all with the camera crew or set up crew. The area had over 10 in. of snow just days before the auction and with quick adjustments to the schedule and some long hours by the JGM yard crew, the auction was held without any major issues....

The crowd gathered at James G. Murphy's Kenmare, Wash., facility for its Dec. 6 sale. More than 1,000 bidders were registered online and in person for the auction. Highlights of the sale included:A 2007 Komatsu PC229USLC-3 excavator that sold for $59,000;a 2013 John Deere 450J LGP dozer that sold for $57,500;a Doosan DX85R excavator that sold for $50,000; anda Takeuchi TL12V2 track loader that sold for $46,000....
