The conference featured a series of educational sessions that included presentations on safety, aggregates quality control, proper equipment operation and maintenance practices and updates on air quality permitting and information about Tier IV regeneration.

The trade show offered an opportunity for attendees to meet with representatives from local equipment dealers, national manufacturers and product and service providers to discuss the latest innovations in equipment and products in a table top exhibit area of the show. The trade show portion of the event included a Welcome Reception with beverages and appetizers sponsored by AIS Construction Equipment and Michigan Cat. The annual meeting provided an MAA update and a legislative review along with a Michigan economic outlook and a talk was given by keynote speaker Kevin Lacz, former US Navy Seal and bestselling author who spoke about the importance of identifying and overcoming risks.
