Paving contractors from Philadelphia, Allentown and Delaware accepted Ingersoll Rand’s and Blaw-Knox’s invitation to a Paving and Safety Seminar at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Northeast Philadelphia.

Dale Starry kicked the morning off with a presentation on compaction, including topics about mix design and rolling patterns.

Training Specialist Steve Neal took over with a paving presentation that touched on such issues as paver and screed selection and material maintenance. The morning agenda wrapped up with a paver maintenance lecture by Rondell Hurlbert and a talk about jobsite safety by Ron Witt.

Attendees then traveled to a nearby Ingersoll Rand facility for lunch and spent the rest of the day perusing the equipment and conducting question and answer sessions with the presenters.
