Interstate Celebrates Grand Opening

Interstate Trailers will celebrate its new manufacturing facility in Mansfield, TX, with a grand opening party. After 18 years in a make-do facility, Steve Flowers kept a promise he made to his employees; he built them a factory designed specifically for trailers. According to the company, the new facility brings everyone even closer together through the more efficient production of trailers in pleasant surroundings.

Interstate left its Arlington plant in July 2000 to move into the 125,000-sq.-ft. (11,613 sq m) facility on 50 acres (20 ha) in Mansfield, TX. The company immediately added a fourth production line and still has plenty of room for future expansion. With the new plant up and running smoothly, it’s time to celebrate.

April 21, 2001 is the date of Interstate’s official grand opening. The celebration will start with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and continue with a wide array of entertainment, food and festivities. Many of the Interstate’s dealers will be brought in early so they can see the factory in full operation during a comprehensive plant tour. Interstate credits much of its success to the quality and character of its dealers.
