Construction Equipment Guide

J.W. Burress kicked off the new year in style. Its newest facility, in Ashland, VA, officially opened as of January 1, 2000.

The newest addition to Burress’ family is divided neatly in two: the service/shop area comprises one half of the facility, and the parts warehouse and reception area make up the other half.

The shop offers three drive-through bays, and a 9-metric-ton (10-ton) crane, the largest in the Burress system.

The Ashland location will also serve as a used equipment hub for J.W. Burress. Perhaps the most exciting feature of the new facility is the 9.1 by 12.2 meter (30 x 40 ft.) wash bay, something Burress has never had before.

The expansion was prompted by Burress’ increasing customer base in the Richmond area. The 891.9-square-meter (9,600-sq. ft.) facility is located on Success Street.

An open house celebration is planned for March 16.

J.W. Burress represents companies such as Kawasaki, Hitachi, Daewoo, Gradall, Dynapac, Grove Cranes, National Boom Trucks, Tramac hammers, Rogers Bros. trailers and Gomaco concrete curbing machines.
