James River recently opened a new facility in Charlotte, NC. This facility is the company’s second largest, with its Ashland, VA, facility taking the top spot. James River purchased the facility after a local contractor left the area, leaving a vacancy that seemed a perfect fit for James River.

The new facility offers three times the amount of shop space as the previous facility, allowing for quicker turnaround time on repairs and increasing the number of machines that can be worked on at once. The new facility also boasts dedicated areas for track repair, welding and a dedicated room for rebuilding components.

The facility’s 30, 000 sq. ft. (9,144 sq m) of space boasts three cranes, one welding truck, two AC trucks, one lube truck, five field trucks. There are 25 technicians on staff.

James River offers a full line of John Deere construction equipment, Interstate trailers, Sakai compaction equipment and Indeco breakers. All equipment is offered for sale or rent, and the company also offers 24-hour emergency service.

All technicians at James River equipment are certified on every John Deere machine. All the company’s parts technicians have been certified as John Deere professionals. James River salesmen also are certified on all of the products they sell.

Approximately 97 percent of James River’s parts are available over the counter. Any part that isn’t readily available can be delivered overnight from one of nine John Deere parts facilities.

The new James River facility in Charlotte gives the company room to grow. This will allow for better customer service and increased productivity. With business on an upturn in Charlotte, the company is optimistic that growth will continue and lead to still more new branches to better satisfy customers.
