J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers, a division of Somerset Welding and Steel Inc., and a manufacturer of dump bodies and trailers, recently announced the addition of the DynaHauler/LWC to its product line. The lighter weight dump truck body is built with Hardox steel and has no cross members. It allows operators to haul more payload without compromising the structural integrity of the truck. The dump body is installed on an oak cushion and features newly designed formed bottom rails.
Hardox 450 steel is a new extra high-strength wear plate being used to develop a new concept of body construction for heavy-duty dump trucks and trailers. Its qualities make it possible to reduce the weight, give greater durability and stability, and increase operational safety.
J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers can customize the DynaHauler/LWC to suit customer needs. Owners can choose various lengths, from 13 to 20 ft. (3.9 to 6 m) sides from 42 to 66 in. (106.6 to 167.6 cm), 8- or 10-in. (20.3 to 25.4 cm) formed long sills, paving rear, and several tailgate options also are available.
Somerset Welding and Steel Inc. is a subsidiary of Riggs Industries and was founded in 1958. The company specializes in building aluminum and steel dump bodies for light, medium, and heavy chassis used in construction and other material hauling applications. It also builds aluminum and heavy-duty steel trailers for rock hauling and demolition and excavation work. In addition, the company manufactures walking floor refuse trailers, tippers, and push outs for the waste industry.
