The deal was solidified with the help of JCB of Georgia, JCB's local authorized equipment dealership.

Drivers on Interstate 95 near Savannah, Ga., have probably seen JCB machines sitting outside the equipment giant's 1,000-plus acre campus as they passed by its North American headquarters. Now, due to a deal recently signed with Hutton's Landscapes of Savannah, the company's equipment will be seen in transit and working on local job sites from Richmond Hill up to Hilton Head and even into Charleston, S.C.

The deal between the two companies resulted in the landscape and concrete company replacing its entire fleet of skid steer and compact track loaders, as well as its compact excavators with JCB equipment.

“JCB came out to see us a number of times over the past few months in an effort to understand the type of work we do,” said Matt Hutton, CEO of Hutton's Landscapes. “They brought multiple machines onsite for our operators to evaluate, then made some logical recommendations which allowed us to replace our entire fleet with JCB machines.”

“Our need to partner with a local contractor was increasingly important,” said Keith Hoskins, vice president of compact products of JCB North America. “By having equipment in use around Savannah, we gain the ability to test new technology in our own backyard, then tweak the technology until it's perfected. We've already done this with Hutton in the testing of our new 'My Choice Controls' on JCB skid steers. It's a win-win situation. Hutton gets the expertise of the manufacturer just a short distance away and we get the opportunity to hear firsthand on an ongoing basis how the product's performing and what can be improved upon. It will allow us to continue evolving the product line.”

The deal was solidified with the help of JCB of Georgia, JCB's local authorized equipment dealership. Tony Reardon, CEO, worked closely with JCB and JCB Finance to facilitate the details of the transaction.

JCB manufactures 18 models of skid steer and compact track loaders, as well as the 3CX, one of the most popular models in the company's line of backhoe loaders. Also manufactured in Savannah is the JCB High Mobility Engineered Excavator (HMEE), a product made exclusively for the U.S. Army.

Hutton's Landscapes is a full-service, design-build and maintenance firm with a broad range of services from design to land-clearing through the construction process to landscape maintenance. In addition to landscaping, the company also offers a full-service concrete business. In 2015, it poured more than 400 home slabs.
