On Veterans Day 2019, JCB North America launched its new Veterans Club to recognize and support JCB employees who have served, or who currently serve, in the armed forces. Current JCB employees have served in the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, National Guard and Navy, as well as the British and Brazilian armies; together they make up more than 12 percent of the company's more than 700 employees in North America.

"JCB employs a large number of veterans from around Savannah and recognizes the service, sacrifice and personal qualities that are unique to military veterans," said Myles Leiker, JCB Veterans Club president and Marine Corps veteran. "The new JCB Veterans Club brings us together, not just for camaraderie around our common experiences, but to leverage that bond to take on projects that will benefit our colleagues, our communities and even other veterans as they complete their service."

The JCB Veterans club will provide support for JCB veterans and facilitate volunteer opportunities and fund raising to benefit local charitable organizations. Further, veterans will be recognized by JCB with regular "Veteran Spotlight" stories that will be shared among all JCB employees, to draw attention to the skills and experience of their veteran colleagues.

In addition to employing military veterans, JCB is a trusted supplier of construction machines for military applications. At the JCB North America headquarters in Pooler, Ga., the company has manufactured more than 1000 high mobility engineer excavators for the U.S. Army and its allies around the world. And this year, JCB North America will begin delivery of 1,600 rough terrain forklifts to the Army.
