JESCO has expanded its compaction line with the addition of HYPAC road building equipment. JESCO will now sell and service HYPAC’s full line of rollers throughout New Jersey and the metro New York area.

“It’s a very exciting opportunity and privilege for JESCO to become an authorized dealer for such a distinguished brand of roadbuilding equipment,” stated Jon Robustelli, president of JESCO. “Our customers will be pleased to know that we now offer this roller line, which has long been known for its high quality, reliability and outstanding performance on the job.”

JESCO will carry HYPAC’s full roller line, which includes tandem drum, pneumatic and single drum rollers. The C784, C766D, C778D, C754B and C747C tandem rollers have drum widths ranging from 47.2 to 84 in. (120 to 213 cm).

The C784, HYPAC’s largest double drum roller, is engineered to handle the most demanding Superpave projects. Its 54-in. (137 cm) diameter drums and 84-in. (213 cm) rolling width give it the size required for high production results on each and every job.

The C784’s maximum compaction output force is 41,235 lbs. (183 kN) per drum, with a 4,000 vpm (66.7 Hz) operating frequency and rolling speeds of up to 4.5 mph (7.2 kmh). With this type of vibratory performance, density can be met quickly with fewer roller passes, according to the manufacturer.

The C766D and the C778D Series, HYPAC’s 12-ton (11 t) double drum vibratory compactors, have recently been updated with Tier III engines, higher travel speeds, enhanced operator controls and asphalt mat temperature sensing displays. The C766D and C778D are powered by Cummins QSB 4.5 Tier III diesel engines that provide 130 hp (97 kW). The engine is placed low in the frame for easy serviceability and expanded operator view. These new features and enhancements will help users achieve maximum paving productivity.

HYPAC’s single drum roller models — the C810C, C820C, C830C, C840D and C850D — range from 6,613 to 30,865 lbs. (3,000 to 14,000 kg) with drum widths ranging from 47 to 84 in. (120 to 213 cm). These single drum models provide soil compaction for site preparation, sub-base installation and landfill compaction.

All HYPAC single drum rollers can be equipped with a padfoot or smooth shell and a leveling blade to fit the specific application needs of the user.

“Our close relationship with HYPAC and knowledge of their advanced roller line ensures our ability to provide outstanding sales, service and parts support to our current and future customers,” stated Robustelli.

“HYPAC products have a strong following in New Jersey and surrounding areas, and we are pleased that JESCO has agreed to represent the HYPAC line in this market,” said Jerry Randecker, president of Bomag Americas Inc. “JESCO is known for its outstanding support and customer service, and we look forward to working with them to continue to grow the presence of HYPAC compaction equipment.”

For more than 35 years, JESCO has been supplying contractors throughout New Jersey and the New York metro area with a wide range of construction equipment including John Deere, Hitachi, Bomag, HYPAC, Indeco, Genesis and Hydrema. JESCO has three New Jersey branch offices located in South Plainfield, Fairfield and Lumberton.
