Jesco Inc., headquartered in South Plainfield, NJ, has added more firepower to its sales staff for John Deere’s large construction equipment lines. To introduce these larger units to the local industry, Jesco has added Tom Carton to its sales staff. Carton’s area of responsibility will be to call on major contractors, quarry operations and waste handling operations. He will introduce John Deere’s construction equipment with emphasis on these new larger units.

Carton will be able to draw on more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry in New Jersey and more than 15 years in sales to explain the features of the new John Deere machines.

“Based on the product line expansion, we feel that the addition of Tom will enable Jesco to develop and increase our customer base,” said Ken Pesta, general sales manager.

“Deere has always been known for its quality in the smaller machines and now is carrying this same commitment into its ever expanding larger line of construction equipment,” he said.

Jesco’s territory covers the boroughs of New York City and Long Island, and New Jersey. The company’s branches in Mt. Holly and Fairfield, NJ, and in Bohemia, NY, enable Jesco to serve the needs of large contractors with equipment such as, 130,000- to 170,000-lb. excavators, hydraulic hammers, 74,000 lbs. crawler dozers and articulated dump trucks. The company not only provides equipment to contractors, but it also is committed to providing parts and service as well as support. The needs of large fleet owners are served through the company’s Corporate Business Group.
