Backhoes and many other types of equipment went on the auction block during the sale in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

Approximately 900 lots went on the block consisting of equipment from 105 owners.

During the auction, there were 73 successful Internet buyers who represented more than $1 million of the total sales.

More than just heavy equipment went up for bid during the J.J. Kane auction.

Bobby Weddle of Tri-County Tree & Bobcat Service Inc. travelled from Clearwater, Fla., to attend the auction.

J.J. Kane Auctioneers held an auction June 24 in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

Nearly 1,000 registered bidders participated in the auction, with some from as far away as Canada, Columbia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Haiti, Jordan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand and Poland.

Approximately 900 lots went on the block consisting of equipment from 105 owners, totaling approximately $3.8 million. J.J. Kane reported that prices exceeded the auction estimate by 21 percent.

During the auction, there were 73 successful Internet buyers who represented more than $1 million of the total sales.
